Korres Soft Eyeliner Pencil
The name says it all. The Korres Soft Eyeliner Pencil is an extremely soft and smooth eyeliner pencil.
On first try, I was pleasantly surprised that such a glide could come from an eyeliner pencil. The only other time I’ve experienced something like this was the Xtreme Lashes Glideliner Eye Pencil, and that is a gel-based pencil.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Since it’s a Korres product, I have come to expect a few beneficial ingredients in each product I try. This eyeliner pencil, for example, contains Macadamia oil for moisture and Vitamin E for protection against free radicals. Pretty rad, if you ask me.
Since it was my first time trying this eyeliner, I tried it with primer on one eye and without on the other. On application, I didn’t see a difference. Both eyes had deeply pigmented color and that incredibly smooth line. Unfortunately, it was only at the time of application that there was no difference. By the end of the day, the eye without primer experienced the migration of the eyeliner and it was gathered at the outer corner of my eye, which actually not only looks unpolished but subtly drags the eye down making one look extremely tired. Not quite the look I was going for with this eyeliner.
On the eye with primer, however, the pencil pretty much stayed put. The intensity had faded just a bit, but not an amount that would stop me from using this pencil again.
Available in four basic colors (black, white, silver and gold) and a randomly chosen light blue, you won’t find any outrageous colors here but the ones you will find are richly pigmented and in my opinion, worth the rather high price tag of $18. Just as if you’re making the switch to organic foods it’s recommended you start with milk and meat, I say if you’re making the switch to natural cosmetic products I recommend you start with eyes and lips.
