MEET THE TEAM
Editor, Natasha Kohli
As a native of Chicago, I have always been intrigued and inspired by the unique beauty of this city. For the last few years I have been an image consultant and makeup artist with a passion for beauty and a background in art. Receiving my makeup artistry license has also taught me some of the technical skills necessary in not only applying cosmetics, but choosing the correct products for different skin types and tones. I truly enjoy working one-on-one with women to help them find the products and teaching them how to use them in order to enhance their natural beauty while staying true to their own style.
If you live in the Chicagoland area and are interested in a one-on-one consultation to revamp your cosmetic wardrobe, learn a few personalized tricks, or to simply choose the right base make-up products, these services are available with me for $100/hour. Make-up application for weddings and special events is also available for $125/hour for women in the Chicagoland area. For more information on either of these (serious inquiries only, please), email makeup (at) thecosview.com or fill out this form.
Drugstore Diva, Maria Shamuel
As a grad student in electrical engineering,
makeup has been my haven and the one thing that keeps me sane while surrounded by my “studious” mostly-male colleagues. My personal style is notoriously classic and elegant, a la the lovely Audrey Hepburn, and you’ll usually find me wearing a volumizing mascara on my eyes or a subtle matte color on my lips. My philosophy on makeup is that when it is used to enhance a great feature, its benefits overcome its absence. I’m determined in looking my best without going broke and showing other women how to do the same. You don’t have to spend a fortune to be fabulous, which is why my girlfriends and I enjoy our 2am trips to the drugstore makeup aisle looking for the next fab find at a great price. BOGHOs are the best, but not always available but with my tips and tricks I’ll show you how to look your best without breaking the bank.
Lady Luxe, Jasreen Randhawa
Over the years I’ve always found myself returning back to my passion and my interest… makeup. No matter how busy my career in pursuing medicine has been, I can’t seem to stop! Working with makeup, whether it’s been at a counter or backstage at a fashion show, has always felt like a little vacation. My latest retreat is telling you about all the great and not so great products and how to use them correctly. I am definitely a sucker for higher-end cosmetic lines, being that I’ve always worn and worked with them. I like to expect the best from my products at any cost.
